Customer Reviews
Couldn't be happier! This was was my first profile rig and it's rock solid. Only "watch outs" are making sure your seat fits width wise due to the shifter mount, I'll have to figure out how to mount the arm on the side of the profile. And make sure your wheel base fits. My Moza 5nm could only mount to 2 holes. Take your time and sort out all your pieces, once you get into the rhythm of attaching the T nuts it gets easier. Overall I highly recommend as Rigmetal is making quality products.
The parts were all solid, everything was included. The install went mostly smooth, and the only issues I had were with the seat, which had nothing to do with RigMetal.
The only note I wanted to make, the instructions show colored dots to reference, the rig does not come with those dots. It's not a problem, you can just set the pieces out the same way and figure out which ones you need for each step, but it was worth mentioning because if I had realized they weren't actually labeled like that I could have gotten my own stickers.
Again it went together super easy and straight forward and I had zero issues so it's not a problem. Just wanted to mention it for anyone looking over the instructions and expecting it.
This rig is solid as can be and a great value. I couldn't be happier.
Good quality well built components. Great quality for the value. the only other thing I would say is it would be nice if the metal was cleaned a little better there were some aluminum shavings left in the channels.
(The monitor stand in the pic is not rig metal)
A couple reasons why I went with RigMetal: 1) The base rails are single piece. Not multiple pieces bolted together to save on shipping. 2) Minimal use of custom parts. Everything that can be standard aluminum profile is. You don't get locked into proprietary weirdness. 3) When custom parts (wheel plate, pedal plate) are used, they are BEEFY. Way beyond reason. 4) No loud logos and graphics. Clean. Simple. Not all of us are trying to impress our high school friends. Like any similar rig built from aluminum profile the main benefit is also the main drawback: Infinite adjustability. Infinite adjustability is another way of saying there are infinite ways to adjust it not quite right. You have to be willing to spend time and tinker. If not, I'd highly recommend you look at something like the Playseat Trophy instead.
Very rigid. Instructions were easy to follow. Shipping was quick as well.
