First sim cockpit I've ever gotten and it's exactly what I was looking for. Easy enough to put together, very sturdy and customizable/modular enough for future upgrades I have in mind.
Absolutely love it. Super solid, great price, easy to assemble. Feeling for a load cell brake pedal is 100x better than my old folding set up. Tiny scratch here or there from shipping, but that’s just reality of packages getting shipped. Not a problem. Customer service was amazing for a few missing end caps. Looking forward to cleaning things up and adding on to it. 10/10 experience.
I'm new into the Sim Racing world and I didn't want to spend almost $1000 on a sim cock pit.
When I found RigMetal, their price for the Basic Sim was too hard to look anywhere else.
The kit is modular, you can add on any accessory at any point AFTER you finish your build, so you don't have to disassemble it to bolt on accessories.
Instructions were clear, but I had one small QC issue: My kit didn't have any labeling on the extrusions so I couldn't know what lengths I needed for the step I was working on. I had to compare pics of built rigs with what I was building. The instructions showed colored dots that correspond with the length of extrusions. I was missing the colored dots. I still managed to get it together though in a few hours and it is SOLID. It's a very rigid chassis.
I'm not building another cockpit unless it's RigMetal. And no, I'm not a bot or paid reviewer. I'm a real person lol.
Great cockpit for a great price. Set aside a quiet afternoon to build it.
Best purchase i could've possibly made for the further enjoyment of this hobby. Its sturdy, sleek, compatible with everything i need + more, and it's surprisingly compact enough to fit pretty much anywhere in my home. the price to product ratio is better than another reputable brand i could find. 100/100 quality product worth buying.
